Italy, 1980s. Murano glass finds here one of the most decorative patterns of the decade: the ??leopard?? decor, where dark speckles, stretched by the blowing, stand out against an amber glass ground. This large teardrop-shaped vase rises 30 cm, narrowing to a clean neck with a polished rim.
The blackish-brown spots, short and rounded towards the base, lengthen into vertical streaks towards the opening, as if carried by the movement of the glass. At the bottom, a thick layer of amber glass, ringed by a clear foot, gathers the light into coppery reflections. Perfect
condition: no chips, no cracks, a brilliant glass with no wear.
At 30 cm high and 11 cm wide, it stands alone, without flowers, on a console, a sideboard or a coffee table, or holds a few tall branches.
